Executive Mayor Cllr Lindiwe Gunuza –Nkwentsha giving the background of the business center, she said  In November 2015 that the business center was gutted down by fire, the municipality decide to revamp from stretch at a cost at nearly R5milliom. Initially it had 14 booths without any sustainable ablution blocks, electricity, fencing and security guards. Now it boasts of 16 workstations with working ablution blocks which accommodate people with disability, palisade fencing, paving, security rooms, water harvesting tanks, secure ramps for the disabled persons. It will accommodate all the previous tenants except the ones that passed away. We have a waiting list of applications and we will use a certain criteria in choosing tenants favoring woman in business, youth and people with disability.

As a municipality we expect the tenants to keep the facility in a good condition making business and create employment for unemployment and realizing our dreams as an economic harb. Our IPED directorate will assist these tenants in improving registration or any other business related matter through partnerships with our stakeholders such as SEDA and ECDC.As a municipality, we would like to thank the construction company for the excellent job well done.
