The war room launch of ward 25 in Sada was integrated with the handover of donations made by Doves, Rev Rweqana and Sizwe Saliso from Umhlobo Wenene FM, Rabe Presbyterian Church and the community to one of the identified destitute families on the 26th May 2017 in Sada community hall. “Mend a broken heart” is an initiative that was started by Doves in partnership with Rabe Presbyterian Church, Rev Rweqana and Sizwe Saliso from Umhlobo Wenene FM and the community of Ward 25 in Sada. Cllr Rasimosi of Ward 25 said that they identify the destitute families from that ward and they come together as the community to see how they can assist. Zintle (21) and Zenzo

(24) Nomgenge who are from a child-headed household are among the families that were identified, they received furniture, food parcels, clothes and their home got a makeover with the help of Chris Hani District Municipality and the Extended Public Works Programme. Cllr Ralane who was representing the Executive Mayor said that this is what “working together” means, a successful war room is created through unity. “The municipality is going to form part of this initiative to assist where it can,” she said.
